Happy New Year to all...

My sister sent me the photo above from her visit to our StepDad over the weekend. I love it and hope you enjoy the New Year's wishes in the sand.

Last night was a lovely (low-key) dinner at the home of some local friends. There were seven of us and it was so relaxing...complete with wood-burning fire and beautiful holiday decorations. Like all Jewish kids I was totally drawn to the big and beautiful Christmas tree, oohing and ahhing over each ornament. I do love Hanukkah... hmmnnn... maybe I will get a big Menorah next year and hang stuff from it. It would have to be pretty big :-)

Got to see Dick Clark in Times Square (on TV) and watch the ball drop...champagne, kisses, another hour or so of comaraderie and then off for home. This morning is gray and damp so it is a perfect day for doing a whole lot of knitting and as soon as I am done posting this I am going back to my comfy chair and picking up my needles.
